What it is and why you may be a good fit
If you haven’t heard the term “Mastermind” used to describe an educational offering, it may sound a little sinister. No need to fear. According to Google, “it’s a peer-to-peer mentoring group where people meet regularly to share ideas, feedback, and resources.”
That is exactly what we are doing

I know for a FACT that with the proper equipment and training, you can take stunning portraits just like this. How do I know? Because my method has already been successful time and again.
The Mastermind program will give you the tools to master our “Signature Heirloom” and feel confident in your ability to shoot, edit, and promote your heirloom offering. What do I mean by “Signature Heirloom“?

What stands out to you? Of course, this is a striking child, but pay attention to what makes this such a great portrait. I’ll give you some hints…

- Scale
- Color Balance
- Expression
- Contrast
- Shadows
- Highlights
All of these factors are already present straight out of the camera. Heirloom photography is not about removing the background of any image, slapping on a vignette, and calling it an heirloom. It is an art. I hope you are considering this program because you respect the art and desire to provide families with the best.
Ok, so back to the program.
I don’t know about you, but I am much more efficient when I have someone holding me accountable and speaking encouragement over my endeavors. I’ve done a lot of self-reflection over the last decade, and I know my strengths well.
I know that working closely with a small group of people to whom I am accountable is more productive than being left to my own devices.
I know that if I don’t have actionable goals within a given timeframe, I will most likely lose focus and look up to find a year has passed, and I’m nowhere closer to my goal.

The program is $3000 and lasts three months.
The Masterclass is included in the program.
Each student will have a tailored approach as we go through the program to address specific strengths and weaknesses. After our onboarding call, you will receive a personalized curriculum. While not everything is required, students are encouraged to take advantage of this time, value their investment, and stay on task. Like anything else, it’s what you make of it.
We will start by nailing down lighting and client interaction.
Then we will move into editing and conceptualizing your business method.
Finally, we will bring it all together and get the ball rolling.

The Mastermind program is open to anyone ready to learn. I have taught absolute beginners and career photographers.
Completing the program does not result in certification and is not a precursor for certification. However, if you come out of this program with all the skills and tools required to apply for certification, that would be amazing!
